Soft Skills Training

What is soft skills training? In the dynamic landscape of today’s professional world, technical expertise is no longer the sole determining factor of success. Employers are increasingly recognising the indispensable value of soft skills – those intangible, interpersonal qualities that go beyond qualifications and credentials. This realization has given rise to the concept of soft skills training, a cornerstone of personal and professional development.

Soft skills encompass a range of attributes that define how we interact, communicate, and collaborate with others. They include skills like communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, emotional intelligence, leadership, and time management. Unlike hard or technical skills, which are specific to a job or industry, soft skills are transferable across various contexts, making them invaluable assets in any career path.

While technical skills are essential, they’re often complemented by soft skills that shape how effectively these technical abilities are put into practice. Soft skills training bridges the gap between knowledge and application. It equips individuals with the tools to build rapport, manage conflicts, inspire teamwork, and communicate persuasively – skills that are vital for professional growth and personal fulfilment.

About our Soft Skills Training

Participants

The participants for our soft skills training can be from any organisation and at any level. We adapt the training to suit your needs which means it can help anyone whatever their work situation.

Duration

The duration of our training courses and workshops depends on the subject, the desired outcomes and your needs. With virtual training they tend to be between 60 minutes to three hours. With in-person workshops they tend to be one hour to a full day or multiple days.

Agenda

Each one of our soft skills courses has a specific agenda which can then be tailored to suit your needs. This makes it more relevant and useful.

Outcomes

Whichever of our training courses you choose the outcomes are defined beforehand. This means you can expect certain actions or learning outcomes following completion of the session.

Pre-workshop

When a pre-workshop task is required this usually means one of our online questionnaires which are quick to complete. We don’t make any pre-workshop task too onerous in time, just useful for the session.

Post workshop

Every soft skills training offering is followed up by an email containing a pdf of the session material and email access to the trainer. This means you can ask further questions or get more clarity on areas you are interested in.

Different versions of you
Our soft skills training develops the different versions of you

In-person or virtual

Nearly all of our workshops are available as both in-person or virtual sessions. Of course, there are advantages and disadvantages to both, and you may be surprised by what people prefer. It depends on the subject and the practicality of getting people together.

Number of Participants

Our one to one coaching involves just one participant. Some of our virtual sessions have had up to 150 participants. We tailor the session to suit the number of participants you require to benefit from the training.

Tailoring the training to your needs

We tailor our soft skills training in a number of ways. Firstly we tailor the content to your industry or sector, whether this be law, finance, leisure, charity or whatever it might be. Then we tailor it to achieve the objective you want the training to achieve. We adapt and write new content to make sure it is relevant to the participants. And finally we tailor it during the session and adapt it to the needs and questions the participants have in the training. This all means you get the training the organisation and the participants want.

Martins not only knows his topics but also is a master of presentation; keeping us focused on the issue. Break-away rooms is an excellent technique Martins uses in very appropriate moments to stimulate exchange and productive discussions. Very clearly structured presentations. Five stars, for sure!
