Time management training is practical and interesting!

Time management tip for more effective meetings.

We all suffer from meeting which don’t start on time. One of the reasons why they don’t start on time is because not all the key participants arrive on time. One of the reasons for this is that they do not leave enough time to get to the meeting. And we’re talking internal meetings here!

Often we leave for the meeting at almost the time the meeting is scheduled to start. There are cultural and behavioural reasons for this, but what can we do to encourage people to the meeting on time?

Start at an unusual time. Start you meeting at 10.10am, or 11.15am. Guaranteed they will take a second look, check it and double check it. Thing is, they will take notice.

And they may well stop their work and leave for the meeting at 10.00am or 11.00am. Try it and see what happens. We heard from one client on Friday who said they had tried it and it worked far better than the on the hour meeting start times.
