An agenda item would typically read ‘discuss project x’, whereas an output agenda would read something like, ‘agree on next step with project x’, or ‘decide on who to involve on project x from the finance team’.
 
An output agenda is more specific, more focused and drives at an output for the action rather than a discussion about it. It focuses people’s thinking and moves towards decisions. Simple but effective.
