In some organisations emails reach snowstorm proportions. So many email that it becomes a real challenge to see the important ones. And then they build up from day to day. The job can very easily become managing emails, but that won’t necessarily achieve the objectives of the role.
So what can we do? One small tip is to create daily in boxes. That way all today’s emails go into a separate inbox. You would have an inbox for each day of the week.
In this way it can be easier to manage emails and see the important ones. It might be worth a try just to see what impact it has.
