What not to do in December!
- Plan any project deadlines. Why not? Because no-one wants to end a project when there is so much else going on. Half the people won’t be around. If you have an early December date what happens if the project slips?
- Start any projects. Because most people will be distracted by December activities and by the time January comes they will have forgotten what the project is all about. Better to wait and kick off with impact in January.
- Expect too much from your team. They will be busy doing lots of stuff, so cut them a bit of slack.
- Plan any extra stuff. December may be a better time for tidying up rather than doing anything extra.
