Workshop Overview
It is always possible to become more efficient in how we organise ourselves and our work.
Time management skills training can help you to become more efficient, develop a sense of managing tasks rather than them managing you and to lower stress levels.
The ITD approach to time management skills is to look for the underlying causes of time issues. We also explore behaviours that can create pressures on ourselves. The workshop focuses on each individual’s approach to work and how this can unlock opportunities to be more time efficient.
There are also a range of very straight forward tips which can have a high impact on time management skills. In our experience no single approach works for every individual. In a typical ITD workshop we work with your people to find the best solution for them, so that each participant leaves with a n umber of specific actions to improve their efficiency.

Time & Work Management – Case Study
The finance team – based in Cambridge. We have worked with this finance team on a number of occasions through the years
Background
The finance team had been through amajor change programme focussed on moving part of their function to a central services function in a different country. This meant a break up of the team and some distress. Now that this process had been complete the team needed to rebuild.
Need
The Director recognised the need for an activity which would help the team move on from the enforced change they had experienced. He wanted them to draw a line on the past challenges and focus on the future. But he also wanted them to have fun and start to think of themselves as a new team.
Activity
We put together a mix of facilitated sessions with a blend of discussion, fun activities and team working which all pointed to the future. This was a 2 day session based in a boutique hotel in London.

- How can we show the future visually – create a TV advert?
- How are going to support each other?

The main outcomes of this session were:
- The team said goodbye to the past and embraced the future.

Do you want your sales people to win more deals though a better understanding of why the buyer is in the market?
Solutions selling can be a great way to differentiate your offering. It is where the sales person identifies what the buyer is trying to achieve with a purchase and then positions their offering to fulfil that need.
For example a company may be buying a new piece of capital equipment to improve capacity.
But behind the need to improve capacity is the need to compete for larger international orders as a spearhead for international growth demanded by the board. The sales person who sells the solution to achieve international growth will often win over the sales person just selling capital equipment to increase capacity.
Solution selling is based on a thorough understanding of the buyer’s needs and wants and those of their organsiation.
Typical issues this training deals with include:
- Loosing out to competitors when price does not appear an issue
- Lack of confidence in solution selling

Your sales people work with prospects to define the solution not jut sell your product or service

- Questioning skills developed – what are the right questions to ask?
- How to position your product or service as a solution
- Role plays based on scenarios created around your business

Number of participants?
This depends on your objectives. If you want people to leave with specific feedback on their work then 12 is ideal. If you want people to leave with general tips then a larger number can be accommodated.
Location?
These days training is in the offices of our clients but if not it is in a hotel / conference centre. This can be in which ever country you want it.
Follow up?
We write an email to every participant of our training with reminders of their personal actions points. We also send them tips and ideas via our Sales Blog. If they have specific questions then we can respond to email any time.
Costs?
The cost is made up a the training fee plus travel expenses and varies depending on the length of workshop you need and how many of them you need. Please contact us to get a quote.
