Our networking training for lawyers is practical and workshop style.
It sounds glib but most lawyers go into a career in the law because they are interested in the law. They tend not to be attracted by business development or networking. This means that when they are asked to go to networking events they are not always sure how to do it. But with a little training lawyers can be given the tools to participate in networking events successfully. Building on this it will also help them on how to follow up on initial meetings at events.
Networking training for lawyers
This networking training for lawyers workshop focuses on how lawyers gain confidence with networking. We include a very practical agenda from networking events to LinkedIn profiles. It also covers how lawyers can follow up on introductions made socially or through business networking. The objective is to move the contact forward in the sales process; from gaining a lead to another contact in the prospect’s organisation, through to arranging a business meeting with the contact.
Workshop preparation
It is very helpful to work with your BD or Marketing people to get their perspective on how they would like your lawyers to develop. We tailor the agenda to suit your needs and the level of lawyers in the session. It is a workshop style with discussion and small group work.
Duration
The length of the session is tailored to your needs, but we tend to find a 90-minute to 2-hour session is most typical.

Professional Business Communication training
This class is 3 hours but it didn’t feel like it. It helped that the class is interactive and each person gets a chance to speak at one time or another. Martin did a great job keeping us engaged. I like the way he explained the topics and I genuinenly walked away with some great pointers regarding communication styles.
