Microaggression Training Law Firm Case Study

This page gives details of our work with this microaggression training law firm case study.

In the fast-paced and high-stakes world of law, fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion is not just a moral imperative but also a strategic advantage. Recognizing the importance of creating an equitable workplace environment is crucial. The enlightened organisation offers training to increase awareness of this very importat subject.

We have been working with this law firm for some years and were asked to design and deliver a session that would provoke thinking and allow people the space and environment to share their thoughts and views on this difficult subject.

The specific need was simply to raise awareness and provide a safe space for discussion.

The session is a delicate blend of presentation of ideas, research and examples, along with discussion. We use breakout rooms to facilitate discussion.

We reviewed the following areas:

  • Definitions.
  • Why it matters.
  • Is this microaggression?
  • Examples.
  • Your experiences.
  • How to deal with microaggression.
  • Personal actions.

Each participant left with at least one practical action to try to implement ion their daily work.
