Virtual or In-Person Unconscious Bias Training
Our unconscious bias training will help you and your people understand what unconscious bias is and how it can impact your everyday work and performance.
An unconscious bias is a preconception or prejudice which we are not consciously aware of. Unconscious means we are not aware of it. Bias means the preconception or prejudice.
A conscious bias is a bias you are aware of, so for example, in an interviewing situation we might feel that a man of between 20 – 35 years of age is best suited to a particular role. This means we are consciously biased towards applicants who are male of the age 20 – 35.
This training helps in a number of ways; firstly you will get a better understanding of what unconscious bias is and how it occurs in every day work life. Secondly you will see how unconscious bias impacts everyone no matter what their organisation or role.
Most importantly you will learn how to explore your own unconscious bias, and gain an awareness of where your unconscious biases lie. You will then look at what actions you can take to moderate your won unconscious biases in a conscious way. This last part is vital as it is good to know your own biases but better to start doing something about them. And it is possible to take action, but more on this later.
“Martin Chapman is a highly accomplished trainer, one who is sensitive to his audience. The interactive trainings, like this one, are a pleasure to attend.”

Enhancing Virtual Presentation Skills
I recently attended the “Presenting with Impact Virtually” workshop and found it to be highly beneficial. The session was well-organised and provided practical strategies for enhancing virtual presentation skills. The interactive elements and real-time feedback were particularly valuable, allowing participants to apply techniques immediately. The facilitator, Martin Chapman was knowledgeable and engaging, making the workshop both informative and enjoyable. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience that has equipped me with tools to improve my virtual presentations.
