Written communications skills training
Kast’s founder, Tim Bayes, fell in love with concrete over 20 years ago. Growing up in Switzerland, he was inspired by their use of concrete, manipulating it into unique shapes and forms. Drawn to the purity of this material, Tim realised the potential it had for contemporary product design. With a natural affinity towards engineering and a degree in Fine Art, he began working with this ‘liquid stone’ and was convinced that it could become the ideal material for interior products. From designing furniture to creating contemporary interior surfaces, realising this vision took many years of development, researching and refining both the precise mix of concrete and complex casting processes. Tim grew his team and continued to innovate, pushing the boundaries of how concrete can be used.
Background
Fine tuning written communication is a key skill to improve impact and make sure the right message is conveyed. This is especially true across international borders and when selling through third parties. This training was designed and delivered to be a tailored session specifically for Kast.
Need
The specific need was to help one person develop their skills in written communications to clients. Specifically in managing challenging situations and general communications.
Activity
This was a three hour one to one virtual session. The participant submitted a number of their redacted client communications for review in the workshop. We then went through these identifying issues and working on new ways of communicating the required messages.
Ideas, models and strategies were introduced and applied to actual client situations. This made for a very practical work based session.
Outcomes
The participant was delighted with the session and the new skills and ideas they gained.
Participant Feedback
“I thoroughly enjoyed the training and feel that I have got a lot from it. Thank you again.”
